Frequently Asked Questions & Answers

Q: Do I need a physician referral for physical therapy?

A: No. All of our clinics can and do see patients without a physician referral. We recommend that you check with your insurance company to make sure a physician referral is not required for payment.

Q: What insurance companies do you accept?

A: Merit Rehab, and its affiliated clinics, are on most insurance company panels. If you have any questions with regards to payment by your insurance company for services rendered at a Merit Rehab clinic, you should contact them directly.

Q: What are your hours of service?

A: Most of our clinics are open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am till 6:00 pm. Please contact your local clinic for specific hours. We will do everything we can to accommodate your schedule.

Q: What if I can’t make my scheduled visit?

A: A courtesy call at least 24 hours in advance is appreciated. Our patient schedules are usually full and people are on waiting lists to be seen. You call will allow another patient to get the care that they need.

Q: How should I dress for therapy?

A: Wear comfortable loose fitting clothing to your first visit. You may be asked to move or stretch without the limitations of tight fitting garments. After your first visit you will be advised as to what to wear or bring with you.

Q: How do you measure satisfaction and do you accept suggestions?

A: We ask all of our patients who graduate from therapy to complete a brief patient satisfaction form. This is anonymous and is used by our office and clinical staff to make changes as necessary. You may make suggestions at any time. We appreciate your feedback and we use it to better serve our patients.
